Oct 2010 Just Before Beginning My Journey
Hi, I am Karen, head coach at Retrained Eating. My struggle with weight began in middle school and didn’t end until I was 47. I felt hopeless after years of dieting only to end up back at my starting weight.
Early 2011 at my heaviest weight ever, I finally reached a turning point. The diets weren’t the problem, nor were they the solution. I had to change my food mindset forever. I began to see how my life revolved around eating. Food had become more than just a fuel source. It was my comfort in hard times and my reward when things were going well.
The issue wasn’t what I was eating, but how much of it. I started changing changing my eating habits paying attention to what my body was calling for. As I did, the weight started coming off fast and it stayed off because my mindset had changed permanently.
By the end of 2011, I had lost 65 pounds and I’ve maintained this weight ever since. Ever-since, I’ve been passionate about helping others find the freedom and joy of losing weight and taking back control of their eating.

The monthly classes will take place on Zoom and will be recorded so that you can watch them whenever you are able. One of the benefits of being in person on the live Zoom class is the support you will receive from others, as well as being able to participate in the discussions and ask questions for further clarification.
The coaching sessions will all be on Zoom as many clients do not live in Atlanta where I am located, and I find it is much more convenient for most people.
The subscription plans are month to month or annual. The annual pricing is reduced to simplify this process.
There is a “free” trial period in the following way. I offer a free consultation that will help you decide if this is something that would benefit your life, then you can sign up whenever you would like to.
The beauty of my plan is that you can eat “regular” food so there is no need to make separate meals for you and your family, you can use your normal menus of the food you and your family like.
There is no additional fee as you will eat “normal” food from the grocery store, not diet or less caloric items. You will eat what you want.
This is not a portion control plan, however you will eat less food than you are used too as your body begins adjusting to the amount of food it actually needs.
